Establishes a liquid barrier classification system for protective apparel used in health care applications. Standard assists end users in selecting appropriate apparel to minimize the potential for the transfer of microorganisms associated with body fluids and OPIM. The standard uses industry accepted laboratory test methods to form the basis of barrier claims.
